MATELEC 2026 (National Conference on Electroactive Materials and their Applications) will take place on 9 and 10 July 2026 at the IMS Laboratory in Bordeaux.
►►► Following the first edition in Lille and the second in Lyon, coupled with the GDR REEPOS, this biennial conference will be the third edition, providing a key opportunity for the scientific communities working in the fields of electroactive materials, whether inorganic, organic or composite, to meet and promote exchanges at the interface between these different families.
►►► The programme covers a wide range of topics, from property/structure relationships and multi-scale modelling to the development of new material architectures. Particular attention will be paid to the integration of organic/inorganic/composite materials in hybrid devices, as well as to emerging technological applications such as energy recovery, electro-caloric effects, ultrasound imaging for healthcare, and structural monitoring (non-destructive testing, NDT).
►►► Researchers, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows will have the opportunity to present their work in the form of an oral presentation or poster.
►►► Finally, one of the objectives of these days is to foster new collaborations or strengthen existing ones between academic and/or industrial laboratories.
Topics:
Topics covered include, but are not limited to:
1. Materials with coupled electrical/mechanical, magnetic/electrical, electrical/thermal properties, etc.
2. Applications of electroactive materials (piezoelectric, electrostrictive, thermoelectric);
3. Forming and characterisation techniques.
